Founded in 1879 by Pastor Robert C. Buckner, Buckner International has been dedicated from its beginning to addressing the needs of senior adults and vulnerable children through faith-centered values. The organization now serves half a million people each year – regardless of faith or affiliation – across the United States and worldwide. Buckner Retirement Services operates seven nonprofit senior living communities in Texas, including The Stayton at Museum Way, that serve seniors with excellence in everything we do.

After realizing the changing needs of older adults in Texas, Buckner opened its first retirement community in 1954. Since then, the organization has continued to expand, now operating seven communities throughout the state. Each community is designed to enhance the lifestyle of its residents and live up to our mission of Inspiring happiness® Independent living residents enjoy priority access to assisted living, memory care services, skilled nursing and rehabilitation care if and when needed.
