After realizing the changing needs of older adults in Texas, Buckner opened its first retirement community in 1954. Since then, the organization has continued to expand, now operating seven communities throughout the state. Each community is designed to enhance the lifestyle of its residents and live up to our mission of Inspiring happiness® Independent living residents enjoy priority access to assisted living, memory care services, skilled nursing and rehabilitation care if and when needed.
All residents enjoy numerous amenities, services and programs designed especially for them.
All Buckner Retirement Communities are not-for-profit, and the retirement community division of Buckner International, Buckner Senior Living, is now the largest nonprofit senior living provider in Texas.1
