“I’m excited to join Buckner and The Stayton because of their commitment to serving seniors with compassion and excellence,” said Lott. “Faith plays such a vital role in how we navigate life’s joys and challenges, and I’m honored to be part of a team that values the spiritual well-being of residents and staff. I look forward to building relationships and walking alongside others on their journeys.”
As the first chaplain of The Stayton, Lott said he hopes to create an environment where residents, families, and staff feel heard, valued, and uplifted regardless of where a person is in their faith journey.
“Employing an interdenominational chaplain is one of the ways Buckner delivers on our faith-based mission of service, and we are excited Chaplain Trent will be the first at The Stayton,” said Brian Robbins, president of Buckner Retirement Services. “Chaplain Trent’s experience and passion for others will serve residents of all backgrounds at The Stayton.”
The core mission of Buckner Retirement Services is to enhance and enrich the lives of seniors by providing quality care in the communities where they work and live.
“In senior living, spiritual care becomes even more essential as people reflect on their lives, navigate transitions, and seek community,” said Lott. “I felt called to serve in this setting because I want to be a source of encouragement, a listening ear, and a reminder of God’s presence in every season of life.”
